Stanworth rock cutting, view west (see all photos of the same view)

From this angle the completed road through the cutting can be seen, with a road sweeper cutting a black line of clean tarmac through the dust. The road won't open for another six months, but keeping the road clear on a regular basis is much easier than trying to clear six months of construction dust and debris in one go at the end.

What's new

The Ringways Map is here

The sunlit uplands

On Saturday 31 May something historic happened. The Heads of the Valleys Road was finally complete.
