A long length of the westbound carriageway is surfaced and has road markings in place; the eastbound carriageway is also mostly in place across the canal but not yet at the same stage. In the distance, the bridges at Marsh Farm and Sandy Lane are almost complete, while at Marsh Lane the new bridge is in use.
