M6/A6 interchange culvert works, view south east (see all photos of the same view)

Realigning the sliproad at the top of the picture will require the construction of a new embankment to carry it at higher level further from the motorway. The culvert carrying the small watercourse seen here will need to be extended. In advance of that, a temporary diversion of the watercourse is being built and lined with bright blue plastic.

The Improbable A39

It crosses cattle grids and untamed moorland, it climbs 1-in-4 hills and plummets through hairpin bends, it runs single-track through woodland and historic villages. It's rugged and beautiful. Is it really the A39?
