A49 underbridge, view north (see all photos of the same view)

The bridge over the A49 is now substantially complete; at the far end, waterproofing can be seen against the vertical walls where the earth embankment has not yet been piled against it. In the foreground, work is happening at pace to complete the westbound carriageway over the bridge, which will be needed as a diversion route in the near future. It will carry traffic while the far side of the bridge remains unfinished.
