M6 interchange and Cuerden footbridge, view north (see all photos of the same view)

Under the new Cuerden footbridge, a surface has been laid on the beginning of two sliproads leading towards the junction. Like the link road to the terminal roundabout, these slips will need to be finished ahead of the rest of the junction so they can carry traffic diverted around the A6 interchange beyond.

What's new

London, in a new light

The Ringways Map is here

The wait is over! The full map of the Ringways, London’s unbuilt urban motorway network, is now online. Not even the system's planners had anything like this.

Burdock Way

The humble West Yorkshire town of Halifax may well be the creator of the most adventurous urban road scheme in the country. It's astonishing, but what was built isn't even the half of it.
