The canal bridge is substantially complete; in the distance Marsh Lane bridge is still having its foundations excavated. In the middle of the picture, the shape of the embankment carrying the M65 is now clear, and it is much wider and taller than it strictly needs to be: on both sides, the height of the embankment is built up above the level of the motorway, so the road is partially shielded from its surroundings.
