Foundations for the long viaduct across the M6 are now taking shape, though actual construction work still cannot begin until the old Cuerden footbridge across the M6 is demolished. To the right, two sets of piers have been completed for the bridge carrying the south side of the roundabout over the M6, and in the bottom right corner, steelwork has arrived to form the bridge span.
