View west from contract interface to Riley Green (see all photos of the same view)

More of the rock cutting work at Stanworth can be seen here, with rubble and debris from the work piled up towards the bottom of the picture. At the very bottom, the start of contract 2 is visible, and interestingly is surrounded by a high security fence, something not seen anywhere on contract 1. Presumably this is related to the extensive environmental protests that took place here.

What's new

Hello, here's my ridiculous side project

An introduction to what I write, and why I write it, and where my strange new road sign simulator fits in to all this.

London, in a new light

It was specially designed never to be noticed. And now it's disappearing, nobody has noticed its absence. It's London's own bespoke street light.

The Ringways Map is here

The wait is over! The full map of the Ringways, London’s unbuilt urban motorway network, is now online. Not even the system's planners had anything like this.

Have you seen...

The Improbable A39

It crosses cattle grids and untamed moorland, it climbs 1-in-4 hills and plummets through hairpin bends, it runs single-track through woodland and historic villages. It's rugged and beautiful. Is it really the A39?
