M6 interchange, view west (see all photos of the same view)

From the east, the viaduct across the M61 can be seen, with surface laid on one carriageway but not on the other. At this time scaffolding still surrounds some of the viaduct piers on the south side; possibly surfacing work is awaiting the completion of whatever is happening underneath the structure.
