This overhead view of the M6/M65 interchange is a real treat, and shows off the impressive scale of the viaduct. Like all structures on this contract, it was designed to accommodate a third lane, should one ever be needed, but carries only two lanes each way. Only half its surface area actually carries traffic. The roundabout has three full-width lanes and a hard shoulder throughout. It's since been re-marked to have just two lanes.
