South East Aylesbury Link Road

Scheme outline

Construction of a new dual two-lane road between the A413 Wendover Road and B4443 Lower Road to the south of Aylesbury, forming the first link of a wider southern and eastern bypass of Aylesbury for through traffic. A western bypass is also proposed for the town, which would also connect to this link road, but is not yet formally being planned.

The new road will terminate at a roundabout at each end and form a new crossing of the Chiltern Main Line railway. At the western end, it will connect to the proposed A4010 Stoke Mandeville Bypass, which will be delivered as part of the HS2 construction works; at the eastern end it will lead on to the Southern Link Road, another dual two-lane road proposed to connect to the A41 near Aston Clinton.
