Upgrade of the existing single carriageway A9 to provide a dual two-lane road between the northern end of the existing short dual carriageway at Crubenmore and a point just west of Kincraig, a distance of 16 km (10 miles).
This is one of the more complex parts of the wider strategy to provide continuous dual carriageway from Perth to Inverness, requiring several new grade separated junctions to serve settlements along its route, and duplication of the seven-span bridge across the River Spey.
This scheme is part of the A9 Dualling Perth to Inverness programme of works.
