A391 St Austell to A30 Link

Scheme outline

Construction of a new single two-lane road between the existing A391 at Single Rose Roundabout, north of St Austell, and the A30 at Victoria. The road will be mostly new-build but will incorporate some lengths of the existing road through Victoria itself, and the B3274 near Stenalees.

The road will replace the existing A391 between Stenalees and the A30, which passes through the villages of Roche and Bugle, and effectively forms a bypass for those villages. It will complement previous projects that have provided an eastern bypass for St Austell and an upgraded road as far as Stenalees, and this scheme will mean the A391 runs on entirely purpose-built road from the south of the town right through to the A30 expressway.

On completion, it is expected that the new road will take the designation A391.
